Why India

Almost all of my colleagues at the office asked me the same question ‘why India?’, and i was like ‘why not?’ .

India has lots of world heritage sites (more than Indonesia), and i always like the fact that they still preserve and hold on to their culture wherever they are. Working in mega kuningan area where Indian expatriats make a living here, you’ll get used to see Indian women wear their sari while doing groceries. (^^)

Trip plan to India

So i’ve planned this trip with the other girls from like a year ago. We’re going to Kolkata, Delhi, Agra and Kashmir (Srinagar, Pahalgam and Gulmarg).

I red about Kashmir from Marina Kusumawardhani’s book ‘Jingga’, got interested in it since then (and for you who haven’t read it, please do(^-^)).
Since me and my friends couldn’t take leaves from works more than a week, we decided to only go to 4 places, our top priority of course Kashmir, we even cancel the trip to Jaipur because we want to stay longer in Kashmir .

So here’s the itinerary plan:

Short Trip

so yesterday i had a visit to cirebon and majalengka

me and farah have planned to go to Gina’s Wedding party there

we went to the Pasar Senen Station by kopaja after dawn , we took an economy train to Cirebon (cost only 50.000 IDR for round trip)

it was quite a ride, i like the view.. the rice paddy fields , the river, the bridge we passed etc

i used colorful effect from Camera 360 app

Cirebon is Farah’s Hometown, i’ve visited Cirebon once, and my comments about this town is HOT !! feels like they have 3 suns #lebay

we arrived at Perujakan Station @ 10.30 am , the weather wasn’t as hot as i thought XD

then we took an angkot to have some Nasi Jamblang @ mang dul

Gina’s wedding was on that very day, so Farah asked her father to drive us to Majalengka, it took about 1,5-2 hours by car.

the traffic was quite crowded, but luckily we can make it before the party’s over .

we only stay for 2 hours and then went to Kuningan to visit Farah’s little brother at some pesantren I forgot the name

after that we went back to cirebon, i slept over at farah’s home .

we went home to Jakarta at the next morning from Babakan Station which only takes 5 minutes ride from Farah’s home XD

it was a very short trip but i enjoyed it very much, perhaps it’s time for me to take annual leave :p

Smart card for JaBoDe KRL

I just red this news article , so it said that our ministry who in charge of KRL wants us to learn to use the new smart card that will be launch on april.

On the other hand, the economy KRL line will be completely gone.

I’m looking forward for this progress, because since i was a kid (abt. 30 years ago) KRL is facing the same problems (maintenance, delays, illegal passenger, etc. can u even imagine ? 30 years !! -_-

The smart card e-ticketing idea came from China, i’m not sure this will solve those problem but i hope this one will work well.

I thought they have another plan for the e-ticketing, they already built the ticket scanner in every stations, it’s been there like 1-2 years, and up until now it’s still not working XDD

And for the economy KRL line, i think they should’ve been dismiss like years ago, the train should go to the museum instead , i know the ticket price is so cheap and that there are lots of people who doesn’t have enough money to buy the AC train. of course i hope that they will lower the ticket price for the AC train.

And i hope KRL don’t make stupid rules anymore, like the passengers who don’t know about the fine fee they have to pay when they have the wrong ticket, i.e : economy ticket holder who take on the wrong train (the AC train), these people have to pay about 10x the ticket price they already paid, that is so stupid. why not just make them pay in the same amount as the AC ticket? -_-
